Flippen (Bonita, Calif.) hit .625 on the week, collecting five hits in her eight at-bats, while helping guide the Utes to a pair of victories over No. 16 Arizona and their fourth-straight Pac-12 series win. The sophomore scored five runs and drove in four with one double, one triple and one home run while collecting three walks. She opened the series by going 2-for-3 with a triple, one RBI and two runs scored as Utah won, 10-7, on Friday, then followed with a 2-for-2 effort with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored in Saturday’s 6-8 loss. Flippen wrapped up the series by going 1-for-3 with a run-scoring double as Utah took the series with a 4-2 victory. She collected 11 total bases for a 1.375 slugging percentage and a .727 on-base percentage.

Carda (Elk Grove, Calif.) pitched back-to-back, complete-game wins in the first two contests of this weekend’s series against No. 18 California, posting her 19th and 20th victories of the year. The senior pitched a total of 12.2 innings in three appearances, striking out 15 while allowing just five earned runs. Carda began the series with a one-hit shutout on Friday, striking out six in five innings of work as the Bruins shut out the Golden Bears, 8-0. On Saturday, she struck out nine in her 12th complete game of the season, picking up her 20th win as UCLA won, 5-3. She made an appearance in the series finale, pitching 0.2 innings in the 8-5 UCLA victory. Carda leads the Bruins with a 1.93 earned run average, a 20-4 record and 216 strikeouts in 152 innings.

Lilley (North Canton, Ohio) went 4-for-6 in two games for the Ducks as Oregon secured the series victory over Stanford on the road. The freshman scored three runs and drove in two over the course of the two contests. Her weekend was highlighted with a 3-for-3 performance in the second game of the series, with three runs scored, two RBI and a double as Oregon defeated Stanford, 12-8. She also went 1-for-3 in Saturday’s 5-4 UO victory, drawing a walk.

It marks the second-career weekly honor for Flippen, after earning her first on Apr. 6, and seventh all-time for Utah. Carda earns her sixth-career weekly honor, and UCLA now has 136 weekly honors all-time. Lilley’s first-career weekly honor gives Oregon 59 honors all-time.

The Utes travel to play a three-game series at Arizona State beginning Friday, Apr. 24, with all three contests to be televised on Pac-12 Networks. UCLA plays at Oregon State beginning Saturday, with Sunday and Monday’s games set to be televised on Pac-12 Networks.
