SAN FRANCISCO – The Pac-12 Conference office announced the softball weekly honors for play from Feb. 2-8. OREGON infielder Jenna Lilley was voted Player of the Week, while fellow Duck Cheridan Hawkins was named Pitcher of the Week and ARIZONA pitcher Trish Parks was named Freshman of the Week.

Lilley (North Canton, Ohio) went 10-for-19 (.526) at the plate in her first six collegiate games as the Ducks began 2015 with a 6-0 record. The freshman scored eight runs on 10 hits with seven runs batted in, along with a doubles and a home run, as Oregon’s offense scored 54 runs against tough opponents at the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, Ariz. Lilley homered in the Ducks’ 9-0, run-rule win over Texas and had multiple-hit games against the Longhorns as well as versus North Carolina, Wisconsin and Nevada. She also had two games with multiple runs, coming home twice against Texas and three times against North Carolina.

Hawkins (Anderson, Calif.) posted a 0.00 earned run average and 25 strikeouts in two starts and four total appearances in UO’s six-game sweep at the Kajikawa Classic. In her first outing of the season, the junior All-American tossed a two-hit shutout in a five-inning run-rule win over Texas, striking out seven. She earned another win after throwing four one-hit innings against Northwestern in an 8-0 run-rule win. Hawkins made relief appearances against both North Carolina and Nevada, picking up a save against the Tar Heels and a win versus the Wolf Pack. She was dominant against Nevada, throwing 10 strikeouts in four innings with just one hit allowed.

Parks (Chino, Calif.) appeared in all three games over the weekend as both pitcher and batter, leading the Wildcats to a three-game sweep of Oklahoma State to open the season. The freshman pitched for 13 innings and allowed just two earned runs for a 1.08 ERA, while also tallying three runs, five RBI and four hits, including a double and a home run. Parks homered on the very first pitch she saw in her collegiate career, sparking Arizona to a 12-2 run-rule win over Oklahoma State to open the series. Her first collegiate start on the mound saw a two-hit, 5-0 shutout over the Cowgirls. Parks followed by pitching the final four innings of an extra-inning thriller in game three, striking out five batters and allowing just three hits while also tallying one run and a hit. On the week, Parks hit .444 with a slugging percentage of .889.

Lilley and Parks both pick up their first-career weekly honors, while Hawkins earns her seventh-career weekly selection. Oregon now has 49 total weekly selections, while Arizona snags its 141st, which leads the league. A player of the week has been selected every week since 1989, with the pitcher of the week honor dating back to 1992. This is the inaugural season of freshman of the week honors.

The Ducks head to Texas for a doubleheader at Houston on Monday, Feb. 16 this week. For more information, including a full schedule, visit www.pac-12.com.
