Emily Carosone • Auburn
Junior • 2B • Orlando, Fla.
Carosone batted .526 over five games, which included wins over Long Beach State, Pacific, No. 13 Arizona and No. 22 Arizona State. The two wins over both the Wildcats and Sun Devils was only the program’s third and fourth wins over teams from the Pac-12, and the 20-2 win over Arizona was the school’s biggest ever over a ranked opponent. Last weekend, Carosone had 10 hits, six going for extra bases. In the win over #13 Arizona, she went 3-for-4 with a double and home run, three runs scored and three RBI. Against #22 Arizona State, Carosone recorded two hits, including a grand slam in the fourth inning to give the Tigers the 7-4 lead, completing a four-run comeback in the game. It was Carosone’s fourth game this season with four RBI or more, giving her 11 multi-RBI games this year, which ties for the team-lead. Carosone is currently batting .493, good for second on the team and sixth in the SEC, and leads the league in runs scored (40) and slugging percentage (1.014).

Pitcher of the Week
Sydney Littlejohn • Alabama
Sophomore • RHP • Rusk, Texas
Littlejohn threw a perfect game on Sunday vs. Ole Miss, making her the first pitcher in program history to throw multiple perfect games in their career. She threw her first perfect game earlier this season on Feb. 6 vs. Eastern Kentucky in Gulf Shores, Ala., at the Sand Dollar Classic. Littlejohn has now thrown two of the three perfect games in Alabama history. The only other Tide pitcher to throw a perfect game was current pitching coach Stephanie VanBrakle on April 1, 2006 at Kentucky. Littlejohn’s perfect game capped a three-game shutout sweep over Ole Miss, marking the first time Alabama had shutout an SEC opponent in three straight games since 2011 vs. South Carolina. With the win, she improves to 8-0 this season and owns a team leading 0.92 ERA.

Freshman of the Week
Meghan Gregg • Tennessee
SS • Williamson, Ga.
Gregg led Tennessee with a .688 batting average, 11 hits, four homers and 13 RBIs this week as UT went 5-0. She tallied four multi-hit games and five multi-RBI games this week. Gregg had a career-high three hits both times against Indiana State. Her 11 hits in 16 at-bats this week were four more than she had in her previous 39 at-bats. Her five-game hitting streak established this week is the longest of her career. Gregg had two home runs, including a walk-off in UT’s 5-4 win over Northern Iowa on March 7. She also had the game-winning two-RBI double to give Tennessee the win by run rule over Purdue on March.8.
