She stole one base last week to extend her school career record to 93, and improved her school record with her 24th career triple on Sunday. Stewart leads the SEC with 79 hits and eight triples this year, and in conference play, she paces the league with a .548 batting average, 40 hits and five triples.
Co-Pitchers of the WeekLeslie Jury • AlabamaSenior • RHP • Anderson, S.C.Jury went 2-0 in the circle and capped it with a save on Saturday to help Alabama clinch the series vs. No. 11/12 Tennessee. She allowed seven hits and just one run over 11.1 innings pitched for a 0.62 ERA while striking out 10 batters. Jury entered game three with the bases loaded and two outs in the fifth inning as Alabama held a 6-3 lead. After a lightning delay of nearly an hour before she threw her first pitch, she struck out the final batter and ended the game with 2.1 shutout relief innings to earn the save, her third of the season.
Lauren Haeger • FloridaSenior • RHP • Peoria, Ariz.Haeger improved her record to 23-0 with a victory over No. 10 Florida State and a pair of wins over No. 25 Texas A&M, setting a school record for the longest winning streak to begin a season. For the week, she posted a 1.65 ERA, allowing 11 hits and four earned runs while striking out 17 batters. Haeger ranks among the league leaders in ERA (first), opposing batting average (fourth), innings pitched (tie for eighth), strikeouts (fourth) and wins (third).
Freshmen of the WeekNicole DeWitt • FloridaIF • Garden Grove, Calif.DeWitt posted a .636 batting average with seven hits, four runs scored and four RBI as Florida earned a win over No. 10 Florida State and a sweep of No. 25 Texas A&M. She has had six multi-hit games in her last 11 contests, including a trio of three-hit games during that span.
Paige Lowary • MissouriLHP • Dallas Center, IowaLowary went 3-0 in the circle for the Tigers, recording a 0.67 ERA and 24 strikeouts in 21.0 innings pitched. She threw her third complete game vs. No. 3 LSU, limiting them to four hits while fanning nine batters to earn the win. Lowary also added two perfect innings in game two of the series, registering two strikeouts.
