CO-PLAYERS OF THE  WEEK
Kendall Wiley (Texas State  |   Junior  |  First Base)
Junior first baseman Kendall Wiley had the most  explosive weekend of her career at the Madeira Beach Classic, launching six  home runs in six games to lead the Bobcats to a 4-2 weekend record. Wiley  recorded a total of 10 hits on the weekend for a total of 28 bases. With her  six home runs this weekend, Wiley now sits at the top of the conference with  seven total home runs and 42 total bases. Wiley recorded a hit in every game  this weekend and has now successfully reached base in 15 consecutive games.  Wiley has now surpassed her 2014 home run total of six.  Against Robert Morris, Wiley went a perfect  3-for-3 from the plate where all three of her plate appearances resulted in a  home run. Her three home runs against Robert Morris was the most home runs hit  in a single game by any Sun Belt Conference player since April 10, 2013.Kaitlyn Griffith (South Alabama  |   Senior  |  Shortstop)
No. 22 University of South Alabama softball senior  shortstop Kaitlyn Griffith batted .467 (7-for-15) in five games last week,  supplying nine RBI and four runs, including two home runs and a sacrifice fly. Griffith tied a pair of South Alabama game records  in USA’s 14-6, run-rule victory over 2014  Mid-American Conference champion Ball State when she supplied two home runs and  recorded a career-high six RBI. The performance marked the most RBI in a game  since former Jaguar standout drove in six versus Southeast Louisiana on March  7, 2012. Griffith also drew a two-out walk with loaded bases for USA’s go-ahead  run vs. Nicholls.

PITCHER OF THE  WEEK
Christina Hamilton (UL Lafayette  |   Senior  |  RHP)
Christina Hamilton was effective as both a reliever and  starter during the Ragin’ Cajuns Invitational. Over three appearances, she  totaled 14 2/3 innings pitched and limited opponents to one run off six hits  and struck out 10. With two runs already in and two runners on base with only  one out in the second inning vs. Iowa, she replaced Alex Stewart and got out of  the jam with only one inherited runner scoring. After the Cajuns took a 4-3  lead in the third inning, Hamilton clamped down holding Iowa scoreless in its  final five at bats. Hamilton retired 12 of the final 13 Hawkeyes that she faced  from the fourth inning on to help UL Lafayette cling to the victory. In her  first start of the season on Saturday, Hamilton tossed five scoreless innings  and held Hofstra to two hits while facing just four over the minimum. On  Sunday, after McNeese State scored twice off of Jordan Wallace in the first  inning, she entered the contest in the second inning and quickly quieted the  Cowgirls. She allowed only one hit over McNeese’s final four at bats, a solo  home run in the bottom of the fifth inning, as the offense steadily built an  insurmountable lead.
