VERMILLION, S.D.—South Dakota infielders Yvon Minogue, Matley Jones and Lindsey Boyd have been named to the Warhawk Classic All-Tournament Team announced by the host institution, Louisiana Monroe. The Coyotes went 3-2 at the tournament and are 7-5 overall.
All three Coyotes hit .400 or better at the Classic. Minogue hit safely in all five games and was 6-for-13 overall with two doubles and three RBIs. Jones did all of her damage in two wins against Alcorn State, going 5-for-5 with a home run, three doubles and six RBIs. Boyd had two hits in three of the five games and was 6-for-15 during the tournament with five RBIs and six runs scored. She also stole four bases, giving her 101 in her collegiate career.
South Dakota next competes March 7-9 at a tournament hosted by Stetson University in DeLand, Fla.
