USF’S SPIVEY, UCF’S AUDAS EARN AAC WEEKLY SOFTBALL HONORS

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced winners of the league’s weekly softball honors for games ending Mar. 15.

AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Lee Ann Spivey * C * Jr. * USF

Spivey led USF with a .476 batting average, nine runs, 10 hits, two home runs and 12 RBIs during a 7-1 week for the Bulls. The junior moved into eighth place on the USF career home runs list with the pair of homers and posted a career-high four hits in an 8-2 win over Maine. She also drove in three RBIs twice last week, recorded a .520 on-base percentage, and drew three walks.

AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Mackenzie Audas * Sr. * UCF

Audas posted three games with 10 or more strikeouts last week and recorded 59 total Ks in 32.0 innings of action. The senior finished the week with a 4-0 record, including two complete game wins, and tallied a 0.66 earned run average over the course of seven games. With her second out in the 8-3 win over Monmouth, Audas set the UCF program record with 848 career strikeouts. She is one of four active players in the NCAA with 800 or more Ks.

WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Susan Wysocki * P * R-Fr. * USF
Won all three starts last week and gave up one earned run over 18.0 innings, led team with 20 strikeouts

Kahley Novak * 2B * Sr. * UCF
Recorded eight steals last week and set new UCF career record with 107 total swipes; hit .462 with seven runs and 12 hits

Monica Santos * IF * Jr. * USF
Led USF with five extra base hits last week, tied career-high with three RBIs in 8-0 (5) win over Boston University

Lindsay Crowdus * CF * So. * Memphis
Hit safely in all five games at the College of Charleston Invitational, batted .588 with three multi-hit games

Kayla Holland * IF * Sr. * Houston
Hit .833 in a pair of games against North Texas; had two doubles, a HR and four RBIs vs. the Mean Green
