On Friday, November 8th, UTEP and softball head coach, Tobin Echo-Hawk have parted ways just months before the 2020 NCAA Softball season.
News of Echo-Hawk’s dismissal was first reported by KTSM-9 Sports in El Paso; Echo-Hawk’s biography has since been removed from the team’s website.
Echo-Hawk lead the Miners’ for six seasons compiling a 104-207 overall record during that time and reaching the C-USA tournament twice. In 2019, the Minners finished with a 17-33 overall record and went 10-14 during conference play.
Prior to taking over the helm at UTEP, Echo-Hawk was the head coah at Portland State.
It is unknown how UTEP will fill this vacancy at this time, especially this close to the 2020 season.
