FPN NCAA DI Softball Players of the Week 5-2-2017

Fastpitch News has released its May 2, 2017, NCAA DI Players of the week awards. All nominations will be considered and are due each Monday by 3:00 pm eastern time. Please submit to rankings@fastpitchnews.com for review.

Kendyl Lindaman

Minnesota
Lindaman posted a .615 batting average, a .722 on-base percentage and a 1.462 slugging percentage with three home runs, 10 RBIs and eight runs scored. She set school record with 18 home runs this season after hitting one in a midweek win over North Dakota State and two more in Saturday’s Big Ten series finale against Purdue.

Katie Smith (Louisiana Tech): Smith led the Lady Techsters to a three-game sweep over North Texas after hitting .833 paired with a .750 on-base percentage for the weekend. The junior notched two doubles and scored two runs while recording three RBI and slugging at a 1.167 clip.

Jessica Warren (Florida State): Warren went 6-for-9 (.666) in a three-game series against North Carolina this past week. That included three home runs four RBIs and four runs.

Ronnie Ladines

Kent State
Ladines threw a perfect game and a one-hitter in a pair of shutout starts inside the circle at Buffalo over the weekend. She retired 36 of 37 batters faced and recorded 19 strikeouts over 12 innings.

Megan Good (James Madison): Good notched three victories in the circle to improve to 31-1 on the year, the second-most wins in a single season at JMU. Over 19.0 innings of work, the right-hander allowed just two earned runs on 13 hits and three walks for a 0.74 ERA. Good recorded 23 strikeouts and held opponents to a .191 average.

McKenna Bull (BYU): In three games pitched, McKenna Bull had a 0.00 ERA in three wins with 20 strikeouts and just six walks, helping extend BYU’s 15-game win streak. She held her opponents to a .173 batting average over the three victories
