Akron Racers add Florida Gator Stephanie Tofft to 2014 Roster

Akron, OH–Akron Racers General Manager Joey Arrietta announced today the addition of University of Florida utility player, Stephanie Tofft. Tofft registered 185 RBI, 52 doubles, 26 homeruns and scored 179 runs in four complete collegiate seasons.

“Stephanie provides numerous options for our coaching staff due to her incredible versatility,” commented Arrietta.”She is a solid defensive player with a lot of pop in her bat.”

Tofft hit .356 including12 doubles, 11 home runs and 65 RBI lifting the Florida Gators to their first ever NCAA Championship in 2014. She ranked second in both batting average and RBI for the Gators in 2014.

In 2013, Tofft was named NFCA All-Southeast Region Second Team and in 2011 she was an NFCA All-Great Lakes Region Second Team selection.
Tofft started her collegiate career at Northern Illinois but transferred to Florida for her final two seasons.
