Saturday was a day Cat Osterman will remember forever as Osterman threw a no-hitter in USSSA Pride’s 7-0 victory over PA Rebellion.
No PA Rebellion batter was able to locate Osterman’s pitches during the game. Osterman threw a no-hitter, striking out 12 batters and walking two while recording her momentous feat. She got Taylor Edwards to strike out for the final out of the game.
USSSA Pride blew out PA Rebellion thanks to 11 hits, including two extra base hits. USSSA Pride scored two runs in the sixth on USSSA Pride scored in the sixth on an error and an RBI single by Madison Shipman.
It was a good day at the plate for USSSA Pride’s Shipman. Shipman went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs.
Dallas Escobedo was the game’s losing pitcher. She lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
USSSA Pride posted two runs in each of the fourth, fifth and sixth. In the fourth, USSSA Pride scored on an RBI single by Andrea Duran, scoring Cassie Tysarczyk.
