USSSA Pride cruises past Akron Racers, 13-2

Akron Racers didn’t put up much of a fight on Tuesday, as USSSA Pride cruised to a blowout 13-2 win in seven innings at Dallas, TX.

USSSA Pride scored four runs in the first on USSSA Pride scored in the first on a two-run single by Andrea Duran, , and a sacrifice fly by Kristyn Sandberg.

Natasha Watley reached base four times in the game for USSSA Pride. She scored three runs and had one RBI. She singled in the first inning.

Akron Racers couldn’t get anything going as long as Jordan Taylor was pitching. Jordan held Akron Racers hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Chelsea Thomas got it done in the circle on the way to a win. She allowed two runs over four innings. Chelsea struck out six, walked five and gave up two hits.

Lisa Norris was the game’s losing pitcher. She allowed six runs in three innings, walked four and struck out one.

Akron Racers jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first. A single by Kelley Montalvo, plating Jill Barrett and Kailee Cuico started the inning off.

USSSA Pride increased its lead with two runs in the third. Brejae Washington‘s single got things going. That was followed up by Kelly Kretschman‘s single, plating Brejae.
