USSSA Pride escapes PA Rebellion behind Cat Osterman’s 8 strikeouts, 5-0

An outstanding effort by Cat Osterman led USSSA Pride to a 5-0 win in seven innings over PA Rebellion on Tuesday at Washington, PA.

USSSA Pride’s Osterman kept PA Rebellion off the scoreboard for all seven innings she was on the rubber. She pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out eight.

Natasha Watley helped USSSA Pride take the lead for good in the seventh inning. With the game scoreless in the seventh inning an error scored Courtney Ceo.

Madison Shipman was hot from the plate for USSSA Pride. Shipman went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. She singled in the second inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Angel Bunner couldn’t get it done in the circle for PA Rebellion, taking a loss. She lasted just 6 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
