LSU at Tennessee Post Strong TV Viewers
Last Saturday, the No. 10 Tennessee (37-8) vs. No. 18 LSU (32-10) telecast on ESPN2 garnered 259,000 viewers according to Showbuzzdaily.com. This Southeastern conference match-up was the most watched softball game of the weekend, edging out ESPN2’s other Saturday telecast of Kentucky (27-13) at No. 8 Texas A&M (36-10) that followed the LSU-Tennessee game. No. 6 Florida (36-6) and No.9 Florida State (36-8) also got a lot of attention with 179,000 viewers in last Wednesday’s broadcast on ESPN2.
The Lady Vols have been involved in two out of the three most-watched softball telecasts of the season. Tennessee’s win over LSU on Saturday is the third most-watched softball telecast of this season to date. This win leaves them trailing close behind the April 7th telecast of No. 16 Arizona at No. 3 Oregon on ESPN and March 24th’s ESPN2 telecast between the Vols and No. 11 South Carolina.
