Oklahoma-Baylor Produces Viewers in Primetime

Saturday night’s Oklahoma win over Baylor was televised in primetime on ESPN and garnered 251,000 viewers according to ShowBuzzDaily.com making it the second most watched regular season game so far this season behind only the March 24th’s Tennessee at South Carolina game which garnered 269,000 viewers on ESPN2. The Texas A&M at Florida telecast on ESPN2 on March 25th produced 228,000 viewers.

This was the first telecast of the season that aired on ESPN and was slightly up from last year’s Auburn-Georgia game on April 1st which garnered 250,000 viewers in primetime on ESPN.

Keep in mind that the Sooners-Bears game was going directly against the Men’s College Basketball Final Four games of Loyola Chicago vs. Michigan and Villanova vs. Kansas which aired on TBS and had over 10 million viewers for each game.

Last year’s Auburn-Georgia game also went up against the Men’s College Basketball Final Four which aired on CBS.

So far this season, College Softball ratings are slightly up compared to last seasons at this point of the season.
